Content management systems are webmasters' dream team.
This said, a "team" of experts is not required. In fact, content management systems providing ultimate coaching and performance control to the webmaster.
One example, WebMake, supplies the webmaster with ultimate control including:
- a templating system for HTML documents - metadata support - dynamic index generation from metadata - automatically-generated sitemaps - navigational aids - user-defined tags - support for non-HTML input and output - embedded Perl code
WebMake requires no dynamic scripting capabilities and resulting webss can be deployed to a common FTP host. Content can be edited in HTML or converted from other formats.
