Hello, announcing what's sitting at savannah:
These rpms are built against libraries contained in RedHat's GNU/Linux
8.0 CDs. This means support for GTK+2 2.0.x and font antialiasing.
There's little likelihood that it may work on older RedHat releases unless
you recompile the source rpm with: rpm --rebuild abiword-1.1.4-2.src.rpm
Note if using rpm >= 4.1: rpmbuild --rebuild abiword-1.1.4-2.src.rpm
The plugins are now collected in two packages:
- extra import/export
- extra tools
In future releases, plugins that won't build with default RedHat
packages will be here, but you may need to install 3rd party packages to
run them or to build them.
You should just need to grab one and only abiword-1.1.4-2.i386.rpm or
But these will give extra flavours to the juice:
abiword-clipart (ooo pictures!)
abiword-plugins-impexp (extra document import/export plugins)
abiword-plugins-tools (extra plugins providing some tools)
abiword-fonts (older set of fonts, not really needed with this build)
abiword-embeddable (I don't think this really works again, your choice)
Get the src.rpm in the SRPMS dir.
Even though I sign my keys with gpg key ID:

... you may decide to trust only enough to check for file corruption.
You can do that with rpm --checksig file.rpm (although it may complain about
missing gpg keys) or sha1sum file.rpm and compare with the following list:
Or md5sum file.rpm and compare with the following list:
